Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 April 2026Vectis Law ("we", "us", "the Firm") operates the website at vectis.law. This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website, why we collect it, and what rights you have.
1. What We Collect
We collect personal data only when you voluntarily submit it through our intake form:
- Full name and email address
- Company name and growth stage
- Engagement objective (selected from a list)
- Project description (free text)
If you provide additional contact details within the free-text field, we will treat those as personal data subject to this policy.
2. How We Collect It
Intake form. Form submissions are processed by Formspree, Inc., a third-party form-handling service based in the United States. When you submit the form, your data is transmitted to Formspree's servers and then forwarded to us by email. Formspree's own privacy policy governs their handling of data in transit: formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy.
Google Fonts. This site loads typefaces from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com). When a page loads, your browser makes a request to Google's servers, which may log your IP address and browser metadata. Google's privacy policy applies to that interaction: policies.google.com/privacy. We do not receive any data from Google as a result of this.
3. Purpose of Processing
We use the data submitted through the intake form solely to:
- Evaluate whether we can assist with the described legal matter
- Respond to your inquiry
- Determine conflicts of interest before any engagement
We do not use your data for marketing, profiling, or any automated decision-making.
4. Legal Basis
Under Indian law (DPDP Act, 2023): We process your data based on your consent, provided when you submit the intake form after reviewing this notice.
Under GDPR (for visitors from the EU/EEA): Our legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a)) and our legitimate interest in responding to prospective client inquiries (Article 6(1)(f)).
5. Data Retention
If we do not enter into an engagement with you, we retain your inquiry data for no longer than 12 months from the date of submission, after which it is deleted. If we do enter into an engagement, your data becomes part of our client file and is retained in accordance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
6. Third-Party Processors
| Service | Purpose | Location |
|---|---|---|
| Formspree, Inc. | Form submission processing and email delivery | United States |
| Google LLC | Font delivery (Google Fonts) | United States / Global |
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any other third parties.
7. International Transfers
Because we use Formspree and Google Fonts, your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States. Formspree and Google maintain their own data protection measures. By submitting the intake form, you acknowledge this transfer.
For EU/EEA visitors: these transfers rely on Google's and Formspree's standard contractual clauses and other safeguards as described in their respective privacy policies.
8. Your Rights
Under the DPDP Act (India): You have the right to access a summary of your personal data and the processing activities related to it, the right to correction and erasure, the right to nominate another person to exercise your rights, and the right to withdraw consent at any time.
Under the GDPR (EU/EEA visitors): You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, data portability, and to object to processing. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@vectis.law.
9. Cookies and Tracking
This website does not set any first-party cookies. We do not use analytics, tracking pixels, or advertising technologies. Google Fonts may cause your browser to store cache-related entries; see Section 2 above.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
